“We've stayed at Akyra Chura Samui for 10 wonderful nights! The place itself is amazing -- designed somewhat in a Japanese style, very very clean, with very pleasant rooms that each has a balcony. The overall atmosphere of the place is very relaxing, airy and clean.
The swimming pool is just a meter over the sea shore, all within maximum 2 minutes walk from whatever room you're in. The staff is extremely kind and helpful -- at the reception, through house keeping, restaurant and pool bar staff. The hotel is located some 10 minutes walk from the 'center' of Chaweng beach. You could easily walk or take a kind of a taxi that runs back and forth the Chaweng beach for 50 baht per person. So everything is very accessible but you're a bit distanced from the noisy clubs and drunk tourists :-).
Being with our 2-year-old child we were a bit concerned about distances, accessibility, the size of the room etc. Akyra Chura turned out to be just perfect! Upon our arrival the room was already set the way we've asked it to be. When we've asked for a bigger room a couple of nights later, we were able to move into one in just a few hours, with no extra charge for the upgrade. The place is very clean (I know I'm repeating myself but that's really important when travelling with a toddler), the food was great and fairly priced. The staff, the location, the setting, the swimming pool, the food – was just great!

My husband and I would like to extend a warm thankyou to all your staff at the Koh Samui hotel for their kindness and hospitality when we stayed there recently. We were especially grateful to be given a downstairs room with wonderful view to the sea and were very touched by the deference shown to us as older guests.
We would happily recommend the Akyra to anyone wishing to find a comfortable, charming hotel on the island.

My friends and family, a group of 12 people, had stayed in the resort for 3 nights from Jan 3-Feb 1. I would like to congratulate you on having a great team in running the resort. Everybody I have come to contact with is polite, friendly and most of all smiling all the time. We did have a great time staying there. However, there is one person I would like to mention in particular and that is Ms Wi who is in charge of the breakfast shift. From my association with her, I can feel of her honest, sincerity and her passion towards serving. She has left with me a very good impression. I really would like the management to acknowledge her great performance on duty and really hold dear to such a great employee such as Ms Wi. She is one of the big factor that I will take into consideration if I would want to come back to the resort against going for another alternative. I feel happy for the management to be able to have her in your team. Do value her. She is really a great asset to the team.
