Wat Suan Dok

Wat Suan Dok is one of Chiang Mai's most spectacular temples. Although the temple isn't actually on Nimmanhaemin Road, it's a short walk from the neighborhood's attractions. To get to the temple, you must walk to the south end of Nimman to Suthep Road. The gold stupa rise high above the lush, landscaped grounds. The 14th-century temple features a pagoda that contains relics of Buddha.

The Gerald Collection features an array of handmade furniture created at a factory in the country outside Chiang Mai. Kad Na Mor is the Student Night Market near Chiang Mai University. The market mostly focuses on food stalls that sell primarily Japanese and Thai foods. The top level of the shopping centre features an observation deck and the Myst Rooftop Bar. Myst is one of six bars at the top of the mall with spectacular views of the sunset and Chiang Mai's mountain ranges. The Pasta Cafe is in a quaint bungalow. Chefs were trained at one of Bangkok's leading culinary arts schools, so the food is excellent. The kitchen is open so you can watch your food being prepared. Penne Arrabiata and Caesar Salad are exceptional.

The Cafe de Nimman is a combination cafe, and restaurant just steps away from the central section of Nimman Road. The design is sophisticated and partially open-air, so there's plenty of space for groups and families. The extensive menu has a large selection of fish and stir-fry and very reasonable rice dishes. Cafe de Nimman is open until 10 p.m.

At Nine Nimman is a great place to people watch and enjoy inexpensive drinks. The upscale restaurant/bar is right on the main road. They serve a large selection of traditional dishes and pub-style, finger foods. The atmosphere is funky and fun and is a good nightspot to meet with friends.

ITALICS Italian restaurant, is located in the boutique hotel Akyra Manor Hotel, positioned just outside of Chiang Mai’s Old City. With another location in Bangkok that opened back in the spring of 2015, Michelin-starred chef James Noble is taking his innovative concept up to Chiang Mai to show off the restaurant’s use of Thai ingredients in Italian cuisine.
